Claude Troisgras Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Claude Troisgras of Rio's Olympe restaurant will be the recipient of the The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 at Latin America's 50 Best Restuarants sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna next month, it has been announced.

French-born Troisgras has been at the forefront of French/Brazilian fusion at Olympe (formerly Restaurant Claude Troigras) since it opened in 1983. Last year it claimed 23rd spot in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants.

Originality

The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award "recognises the contribution, originality and imprint of a chef’s career," and was awarded last year to Enrique Olvera.

As previously announced, Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants will return to Mexico City after a successful showing there in 2015. Now in its fourth year, the event will be held at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral on 26 September.
