Kamilla Seidler is Latin America's Best Female Chef 2016

Kamilla Seidler has been picked as the recipient of Latin America’s Best Female Chef award.

Seidler, who is in charge of the kitchen at the social project / restaurant Gusto in Bolivia, has been working with 100% Bolivian ingredients and Bolivian producers since Gusto opened - turning local produce into wonderful fine dining plates and inspiring others to learn from her work.

As with everything at Gusto, Seidler’s work extends way beyond the walls of the kitchen, she works in education, helps to promote producers and their products and is dedicated to the idea that people should receive fair pay for the food they produce. Gusto, which was started by Nomo co-founder Claus Meyer, works to give back to the community in which it operates with cookery classes and work opportunities for locals who may otherwise miss out.

Seidlers food is creative, artistic and delicious with each plate harnessing a pantry of ingredients that most people have never seen, let alone tasted. It is this dedication and desire to discover that sees Seidler picked as the best female chef in Latin America.
