The Belgian culinary scene will be celebrated at the 2016 edition of the S.Pellegrino-sponsored Culinaria Festival, taking place in Anderlecht, Brussels from 18 to 30 October, 2016.
The festival's eighth edition will spread across 12 days. Over 60 Belgium-based chefs, artisans, producers and barmen will unite under one roof inside the industrial warehouse Digue du Canal, which has been especially kitted out for the event.
This year's event sees a culinary deviation from the usual 'Tour & Taxis' event held in May, and will instead serve as a delicious opportunity to celebrate the rich seasonal produce of autumn by being held later in the year, all through the lens of Belgium's finest gastronomy.
What's On
Three separate zones will set the flavour of each gastronomic experience:
The Gastronomique S.Pellegrino Restaurant: ticketed guests will enjoy an evening of seasonal dishes created by top Belgian and international chefs who will collaborate to create 'eight hands' dinners of eight courses, whilst diners are seated amidst live art performances and installations.
Tickets
The Gastronomique S. Pellegrino is reservation only, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 8pm and 11pm. Make sure you reserve a ticket to be part of the unique experience.
Participating chefs include Alex Joseph (restaurant Rouge Tomate), Axel Colonna-Cesari (Restaurant Centpourcent) and Bart de Pooter (restuaurant Pastorale ).
A number of chef demonstrations, culinary workshops, and encounters will take place throughout the event allowing visitors to experiment and discover what today’s chefs are passionate about, as well as share tips and recipes.
The Mercato Leffe will serve as a great place to stock up on local produce in the huge food hall catering to both chefs and lovers of fine food.
The Club Perrier completes the zones with cocktails and dancing.
