Pancake-Making Robot Now Available to Buy

It was back in 2014 that first we introduced you to the PancakeBot by Miguel Valenueza. The dainty robot carefully lays out fresh batter onto a hot griddle according to designs uploaded to accompanying software (or you can choose from an online community library). A lot of fun for the kids is what you’re probably thinking (as if they’ll get a go, once you start hogging it).

You may remember, Valenueza, a Norway-based civil engineer and designer made the original PancakeBot prototype out of LEGO for his two young daughters’ amusement.

Now, two years later after a successful Kickstarter campaign, whereby nearly half a million dollars was raised, the PancakeBot is available to buy from $299.99 and as you can see from the video below, has come on somewhat in the slickness stakes, resembling a state of the art desktop printer.

The PancakeBot is available through Storebound, but they only ship to the US and Canada currently. However, we’re sure this will catch on worldwide once people realise how much fun they could be having with batter.
