The London Cookbook: A Guide to the City's Best Kept Recipes

Navigating London's immense culinary offering just got more interesting thanks to the "The London Cookbook", the new guide to the cities best kept recipes by James Beard Award Winning Writer, Aleksandra Crapanzano.

Whether you're a born and bred Londoner fond of your favourite food haunts or simply seeking insight into the city's diverse restaurant scene on a city visit, this is the guide billed to help you see inside London's 'soul'.

Over 100 recipes have been detailed, from light fare to fowl, to reflect the city's eclectic food offering, considered one of the widest in the world, from fine dining restaurants to cocktail lounges with a mix of dishes; "from The Cinnamon Club’s Seared Aubergine Steaks with Sesame and Tamarind to the River Cafe’s Tagliatelle with Lemon, and from Tramshed’s Indian Rock Chicken Curry to Nopi’s Sage and Cardamom Gin."

A useful resource for accomplished homecooks or those looking to re-capture their favourites at home. And whilst critics might be sceptical of a non resident writing a book to London's defining dining institutions, Crapanzano makes the point that it is exactly that which gave her the energy, capacity and insight to write such a comprehensive guide.

If you can't wait to find out for yourself, the book is published October 11 by Ten Speed Press for $35.
