Michelin Tokyo 2017 was released today and, even though the city gained two new two-starred restaurants, the big news should really be that the city’s 12, yes 12, three-starred Michelin restaurants all retained their status at the very stop of the culinary ladder.

Michelin stars in Tokyo clock in at a startling rate, this year marked the 10th year consecutively that Tokyo has claimed the title as the city holding the most Michelin starred restaurants in the world.

With this in mind we’ve decided to show off a quick glimpse of some of the city’s best. Two pics from each of the three Michelin star restaurants in Tokyo - from French anchored cuisine to amazing sushi, fugu feasts to dumpling treats.
