Michelin stars for Belgium and Luxembourg 2017 have been awarded, with Mosconi in Luxembourg City regaining its second star and nine new one star restaurants in Belgium.
Mosconi, which lost its second star in 2013, is the tiny country's only two star restaurant. It's existing 10 one star restaurants retainned their ratings, but no three star ratings were awarded.
The only three star restaurants in the region are Hof van Cleve in Kruishoutem and Hertog Jan in Zedlegem, both in Belgium. Overall, Belgium has 20 two star and 110 one star restaurants.
Belgium and Luxembourg now have 165 and 7 Bib Gourmand recommendations respectively, awarded to restaurants offering great value for money.
