London's Borough Market Gets its Own Pop-Up Restaurant

If you've ever strolled through London's Borough market, and been overwhelmed by the sheer volume and variety of mouth-watering food on offer, a new pop-up restaurant is in town that should help solve that "where to eat" dilemma.

Offering the best of the market, Borough Plates, at 1 Cathedral Street, is a new dining destination where a rotation of chefs prepare a changing menu using the best of the produce on the market. Collaboration with the producers means diners not only get to sample the wonderful produce fresh from the artisanal food stalls in the heart of the market, but they get to chat to the producers about where what they are eating comes from.

And the good news is it's affordable, with a menu of around 10 small plates, each costing anywhere between £6 and £16. Example dishes range from pork rillette, pickled russet apples, apple gel (sourced from The French Comte, Chegworth Valley, and Olivier’s Bakery) to salt baked celeriac, soused radish, beaufort cheese, walnut and sage pesto (Turnips, Mons Cheesemongers).

Produce-led, local cooking in the heart of one of london's most famous food markets ... what's not to like?

The pop-up is confirmed until the end of April, but chances are, it could go permanant.
