Italian Food will Be Celebrated Around the Globe from 21 to 27 November

With more than 1,300 events planned in 105 countries during one week, from 21 to 27 November: The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is ready to make its debut, with an impressive global line-up of in country events celebrating the importance and popularity of Italian food.

A full program of food related events will unfold in countries around the world, from Albania to Zambia supported by cultural institutions, political bodies, like embassies, companies and restaurants that champion Italian gastronomy around the world.

From Italian cookery masterclasses in Albania to Italian tasting sessions in Zambia, over 1300 events are scheduled to promote top quality Italian cuisine including: seminars on food sustainability and certification; meetings with chefs; recipe book launchings; Italian product tastings and dinners; events promoting business; cooking courses; conferences on nutrition in sports; furniture shows; design exhibitions; tourist itineraries promotions; and communication, with special reference to social media.

The cultural importane of Italy will also be highlighted with many events including film screenings and documentaries on food, conferences on the history of cuisine, concerts, language courses, and photo exhibits on related subjects.

More than 170 conferences are planned along with meetings with chefs, 98 promotional events with Italian restaurants, 151 cooking shows and cookery courses, 334 tastings and themed dinners. More screenings of documentaries, seminars, exhibitions, etc.
