100 Best Restaurants in Canada 2017

The third annual Canada's 100 Best Restaurants list has been released and there's a new number one: Alo in Toronto.

Alo (pictured), helmed by chef Patrick Kriss usurps Normand Laprise's Montreal eatery Toque!, which has topped both previous editions. Alo serves a six-course French tasting menu, with dishes including foamed potato with sea urchin, and seared hamachi with cauliflower and piquillo peppers.

The top 10 is dominated by the major cities, with five Toronto restaurants and three from Montreal. The list is voted for by chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and 'elite diners.'
