Food Events: What's On in March 2017

March looks like set to be an exceptional month for food events around the world, with the spring attracting some of the world's best chefs to the culinary stage. Massimo Bottura will be in Milan at Identità Golose while the World's Best Female chef, Ana Ros, takes part in the women's food congress in Spain, and in between there's a whole lot of tasty food going down around the globe, from the US to Dubai. Here's our pick of the best:

Food Events in March 2017

Head to South Carolina's culinary hoe down for the big flavours of the south at the Charleston Wine+Food Fair from 1 to 5 March. Take your pick from an assortment of food, chef demonstrations (including Daniel Boulud, Alex Stupak and many more) festive dinners, and extensive, hands-on workshops in the highly anticipated 12th edition of this all encompassing event in the food calendar, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna

Identita Golose's much anticipated return to Milan is all about the journey this year. Unfolding between 4 and 6 March, the theme captures the trend of chefs travelling more, and further afield. This year there will be over 90 sessions, including world famous Italian chefs, as well as chefs from around the world: Massimo Bottura, Carlo Cracco, Umberto Bombana, Christian Puglisi and many more.

3. Singapore Social Market - 4 to 5 March

The Open Farm Community's Social Market is back in Singapore with its eigth edition and a curated line-up of over 30 passionate vendors sellling everything from sweet and sticky honey to homemade jam. There's also a host of activities for adults and kids, from gardening workshops, to an edible garden city, outdoor yoga classes to film screenings.

The second ever edition of Parabere Forum, the non-profit international platform featuring female voices on major food issues, unfolds in Barcelona on 5 and 6 March 2017. 300 delegates and 30 speakers will gather for two days of stirring discussion on the theme of "redefining sustainability" in the food and wine industry. A stellar line up includes Ana Ros, recently named The World's Best Female Chef, Dominique Crennand Roberta Sudbrack and many more food influencers.

5. S.Pellegrino Exclusive Four Hands Dinner at Ossiano, Atlantis, Dubai - 10 March

Two of Dubai’s award winning chefs, Herve Courtot of Nobu and Grégoire Berger, of Ossiano, winner of the Africa and Middle East region at S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016, will unite in the kitchen to create an exclusive four hands dinner at underwater restaurant Ossiano, Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai on 10 March. 

Expect an exciting tasting menu from appetisers to dessert, fusing Nobu's Peruvian-Japanese food with Ossiano's signature flare. Two hero dishes created by the award winning chefs include the Crispy Scale Red Mullet with Paella and Squid Ink Rice and the Slow Cooked Japanese Beef served with Buckwheat Risotto, Wild Thyme and Himalayan Honey Teriyaki.

Meet Dubai's top chefs, sample the hottest restaurant's food and get into party mode during three days of Taste of Dubai 2017. Sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, this year's culinary extravaganza is set to be extra special, taking in 10 years.
