There’s a New Noma Pop-Up Happening

With Noma 2.0 slated for a December opening, the team behind the iconic Copenhagen restaurant have their pedals to the metal.

But while half the team are busy touring Scandinavia meeting suppliers and fine tuning the menu for what is surely one of the most anticipated restaurant re-openings ever, half the team have stayed behind in Copenhagen to run a pop-up.

It’s called Under the Bridge, because the pop-up is being staged, quite literally under one – the Knippelsbro Bridge. There, the team will “serve the freshest food of the day cooked how they want to, not necessarily how it would be at Noma – simple delicious food that they would eat themselves on a summer night,” according to a statement.

The menu will reflect the diversity of nationalities amongst the staff we’re told, so don’t expect a run through of the greatest hits of New Nordic, while the covered space (no lashings from the bitter Copenhagen rain) will have a family feel with an open fire.

The pop-up runs from 19 July to 3 September, from Wednesday through to Sunday, with a fixed menu priced at 100DKK ($153/£118) including drinks. Buy your tickets here – it will be oversubscribed for sure, but 1000 times easier to get into than the new Noma.

They’ll also be a separate wine bar open from 2pm each day for pre-dinner drinks and walk-ins.
