7 Exciting Food Events in February 2017

February is a great month for food with a series of exciting food events taking place around the world.

Both Denmark and New York will be showcasing the best in restaurants in their respective dining weeks allowing diners to take their pick of the menus on offer.

For food and spectacle, Berlin and Montreal have it covered with their theatrical events where gastronomy forms the centre piece.

While Bangkok is the place to be in Asia this month with a series of exclusive chef dinners at the Mandarin Oriental hotel and the hotly anticipated Asia's 50 Best Restaurants announcement due live on 21 February.

What's on in February 2017

1. Madrid Fusion and Gastrofestival until 5 Feburary

The Spanish capital embraces every aspect of gastronomy in a 15 day festival of the senses. Special menus, culinary routes and cookery courses will all tempt diners into restaurants and bars across the city.

2. Dining Week Across Denmark - 12 to 19 February

Europe's largest restaurant festival gets underway at the S.Pellegrino-sponsored Dining Week with over 200 participating restaurants across Denmark. Diners get to take their pick of set three-course menus, at the same fixed price, regardless of which restaurant they choose across the country.

3. New York City Restaurant Week - to 10 February

Take your pick of some of the hottest deals in town where some of the big apple's best restaurants will be cooking up a three course prix-fixe for $29 for Lunch and just $42 for Dinner.

4. Culinaria at Berlin Film Festival - 12 to 17 February

Film buffs with a love of good food are in for a treat at this year's eleventh edition of the popular "culinary cinema." Set inside the Berlinale film festival foodies can head to the hip German capital of Berlin, from 12 to 17 February for their annual fix of Michelin chef dinners and top food films.

5. 8 Top Chefs cook 5 Dinners in Bangkok - 18 to 23 February

Umberto Bombana, Julien Royer, Arnaud Sauthier, Mingoo Kang, Ryan Clift, Richard Ekkebus, Luca Fantin and Dharshan Munidasa will cook in Bangkok from 18 to 23 February at a series of five exclusive lunches and dinners making the Mandarin Oriental Hotel the place to be this month.

Bangkok will also host the fifth edition of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, with the full list being announced on 21 February 2017 at 8pm (1pm GMT) local time at the city's W Hotel, and live-streamed on Fine Dining Lovers.
