Six Events for The LA Food Bowl

The LA Food Bowl, a month long festival organised by the LA Times, has been running for ten days now with some amazing events taking place so far.

We’ve already highlighted a wonderful round-table discussion on sustainability but there are many more tasty events on offer.

Below we’ve decided to take a look at some the events that you can still grab tickets for, many have already sold out but there are lots of options for those hungry to take part.

May 1-31
What: Head to Union Station gallery where Magnus Nilsson is displaying 25 photographs he took as part of research for his extensive Nordic cookbook.

What: The Pikey is hosting a six-course tasting menu that marries whiskey with food, a different paring option that sounds delicious.

May 21st
What: Meat lovers should head down to the Beast Feast at Coral Tree Plaza - an alfresco dining fest that promises all sorts of bovine goodness. The event welcomes meat masters such as Dario Cecchini, Fergus Henderson and April Bloomfield who will all prepare a dish.

May 21st
What: Staying on the meat theme, why not head down for some sausage making lesson with award winning sausage maker Jim Cascone.

What: If you want to get to grips with what Mezcal is all about then head on down to the Petty Cash Taqueria. They’re hosting an interactive tasting menu that pairs exciting dishes with a mix of mezcals.
