David Muñoz will transport the sibling eatery to his three Michelin–starred DiverXO from Madrid to London’s Old Burlington Street in November. Expect delectable street food inspired by Munoz’s travels in Europe, Southeast Asia and South America. Dishes will include Pekinese dumpling with crunchy pigs ear and strawberry hoi sin, and a steamed club sandwich of ricotta cheese, quail egg and shichimi–togarashi (top image).

Monica Galetti, the Masterchef – The Professionals judge and former Senior Sous Chef at London’s two Michelin star Le Gavroche, will open her first restaurant in Fitzrovia in January 2017, a joint venture with husband and Le Gavroche Head Sommelier David Galetti. Mere (pronounced ‘Mary’) will serve “seasonal and market-led” fare.

Brits love their crisps: Hipchips in Soho will serve an assortment of different homemade crisps made from five varieties of potato, with dips including katsu curry and Moroccan yogurt. It sounds very, very moreish.

Okay, so this is a bakery rather than a restaurant, but the cronut creator’s first UK outpost has been a sensation since opening in Belgravia in September, with early morning queues to match the New York original. British-inspired creations include a Welsh rarebit croissant with beer béchamel.
